Our technician Zach arrived at the home to diagnose the cause of the system not producing hot water. Upon examining the system, he found the single-handled fixtures were not getting hot water. He checked the water pressure and found it to be 90psi which is too high. Water pressure this high will ruin all of the plumbing fixtures in your home and this was found in the shower cartridge. The existing indirect had a very old mixing valve that seemed to be faulty, and he replaced it, as well as adding an expansion tank. Zach furnished and installed a new whole-house pressure-reducing valve and installed a potable water expansion tank on the same line. The technician tested and checked for leaks while setting the pressure to 65psi and removed the existing mixing valve. He installed the necessary fittings to make the new unit a perfect fit. The unit was tested for leaks and was found to be running properly and the water pressure was reduced to the correct PSI level.
