Pipe Works Services went to a call that came in and the customer expressed that his air conditioning compressor may be overcharged. Pipe Works Services technician Zach arrived at the home to diagnose the cause of the AC not working properly Zach found pressures to be over 350psi which is on the high side. the customer relieved the pressure. When Zach checked over the system and found the compressor to not be pumping the refrigerant, he then diagnosed it was damaged from the overcharge and the system needs to be replaced.

A new customer located in West Orange saw us in Clipper Magazine called Pipe Works Services requesting a new HVAC system. She just moved into the house and was not sure if there is existing ductwork. Our comfort advisor Rob offered a Mitsubishi ductless system to heat and cool all the rooms in her home.

A new customer contacted Pipe Works Services because his air conditioning was not working. The Pipe Works Services technician ran into a slight problem with the coil being frozen. Jimmy turned the unit on and hooked up measuring equipment and found the system running low on charge. Jimmy advised the homeowner of charging with and without sealant. The homeowner chose to charge with sealant. This measure didn't work, and the customer called a few weeks later and stated that it wasn't working correctly. Pipe Works Services technician Zach was then dispatched and confirmed the leak was somewhere in the coil and could not be repaired properly without high energy loss from the leak. so, an option for a new air conditioning system was presented. We installed a 3.5 Ton Armstrong Air Conditioning with air handler and Aprilaire thermostat. This customer was happy with our service and now receives nice cool air in the summertime! Our service manager Mike T. was able to provide an estimate for the new HVAC system.

A resident in Mountain Lakes called Pipe Works Services about her 17-year-old system not working correctly. The condenser was kicking on, but it was not fully functional. Our HVAC technician Matt arrived and diagnosed it would be best to get a new system.

Zach then performed a leak search and found that there was a leak in the evaporator coil, and the compressor suffered some damage

Our HVAC technician Zach found the overflow safety switch to be tripped, which was causing the unit to not run, and also found refrigerant pressures in the system to be very low, which caused the coil to freeze and caused the overflow safety switch to trip.
