The secret to a good real estate promotion is to be unique and blow up the “the box” marketing concept! Just because I am doing marketing for a plumbing, heating, cooling, sewer repair, and insulation company does not mean I have to talk about it. There are a million promotional items on the market but spending big money does not get people talking about your business or even remember you. When you think about the most memorable things and events in your life, it was usually something crazy, wacky, or unique. Your promotion should be the genesis of a conversation that leads to engagement and discussion of your product or service. A key chain or flashlight is most likely not going to push you into that category.
My favorite movie as a kid was “Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory” so a lollipop concept was easy. Taking something as simple, inexpensive, and well-known as a lollipop and then combining it with something so obscure just works. Then creating a poem that tells my story and sells our service translates into a great opportunity or my way of planting the seeds too. Sometimes leaving off some information but giving your prospects a way to contact you is enough to make the phone ring. (Always leave them wanting more)
